Mindful Leadership

Building Internal Capacity and External Leadership

Philosophy
Leadership is an inside job. The further out we want our impact to reach, the further in we must travel to understand our calling, our motivation, our principles, our behavior and ourselves. The more we appreciate and grow our internal capacities, the more we are able to bring our internal gifts to the world. And of course, leadership is also an outside job. Successful leaders create the conditions where individuals are more mindful and results oriented, teams are more cohesive and productive and organizations are more impactful and aligned to their purpose.

Successful leaders create the conditions that allow people to appreciate and build on one another’s strengths. The never-ending flow of energy between internal and external, between reflection and action, between appreciation and innovation is bridged by strategic collaboration.

Approach

Based on our international experience in developing leaders, teams, organizations and communities, we structure our training and coaching to help leaders connect the dots between what they are learning and what it means to them in real life. We custom design each training session to include outcome driven content, experiential process, learning integration, reflective action and application. Our training and coaching is designed to provide leaders with experiences to integrate content, find personal meaning in each topic and cultivate the capacity to apply what they’ve learned in a variety of circumstances.

Sample Learning Objectives

Our integrative approach creates the conditions for leaders to:

  1. Identify critical leadership competencies and archetypes required to lead in the future

  2. Identify personal strengths and disrupt personality patterns to operate beyond their own ego agendas to better serve the whole

  3. Understand the elements of effective communication at both an interpersonal and strategic level

  4. Practice systems thinking and HeartMath/archetypes

  5. Understand and commit to uphold the elements of a diverse inclusive culture

  6. Practice operating beyond their own ego agendas to better serve the whole

  7. Commit to a personal action plan for ongoing development to increase their capacity to lead at the highest level

  8. Increase ownership and accountability for scholarship, productivity and effectiveness.
